Michael Eric Dyson on national anthem protest, Kanye West's comments on slavery

Disclaimer: I went to the same church as Dyson back in the 70's..and although I don't agree with some of the things he's said over the years, what he says here about racism and the Republican party makes sense. Of course I don't expect many here to agree with him, but PLEASE listen to the clip (it's just seven minutes) before providing meaningful feedback

Well for one, the thing about rap music...IMO it HAS contributed negatively to the culture. As for Hilary, no comment

Kanye...I figured out long ago that he was mentally ill, and like ValW said in another thread today, I don't know enough about Kim to judge her but I would hope she is a calming influence.

As for Dem/Repub--yeah perhaps the Dem party has taken advantage of the black vote but I think it's being shouted from the housetops the true colors of (not all) Repubs. I don't watch The View, haven't watched it in some years but I think Meghan McCain balances things out and I liked that she stated that not all Repub's as racists. She asked Dyson about the midterm elections, we'll see but there might be significant changes ...

I’ll agree that west comes across as mentally challenged. He seems to have snapped and needs Intervention and deliverance. He nor Kim’s opinions really hold much weight in what’s considered polite society.

But anything that comes from the View and these ladies put their seal of approval on is going to be a hard sell even if he said some good things. I don’t think most people on the right are going to give any ear to.

Yeah it was... in hindsight I regret not voting for him. BUT if he were POTUS today we might be looking at a soon-to-be Sarah Palin presidency, and that would be worse than Trump...

Imagine Hillary watching Palin steal her place. That part would be priceless.

He is clever but needs to be exposed as he takes serious important points and turns them into missiles to attack Republicans

I listened to some comments and had to stop....the guy is a clown spreading hatred and supported by other angry Democrats
Loves the sound of his own pompous deluded voice - the verbal diarrhea he spread was amazing and it was swallowed by the gullible

Democrats are pouring alot of petrol on the fires of racism and then blame others

These woman are basically jezebels who promote an agenda which is mostly ungodly - why do so many Democrats love them
