    To Fuego and Wheeze

Since I have respect for both of you I am interested in hearing how you reconcile the truth of healing with Sleep Apnea.

This in no way diminishes the work of the Holy Spirit in your lives as it is a question many beleivers face with physical issues.

    Fuego
I really admire your honesty in the other thread how you use a sleep apnea machine. One of the criticisms over the years of WOF has been that many were told to never say you have a problem or illness and later on the person is in hospital or had died

I do believe in the confession of the mouth and WOF should be commended in encouraging this truth.

How do you 'balance' this out in regard to your condition of SA. I assume you have spoken the Word into your situation so how would you explain the healing not manifesting

    Wheeze
I have read some of your reports of the many healings occurring as you step out in the streets. More power to you but how would you explain seeing many healings yet still not healed from SA.

    Thumbs up

I assume you have spoken the Word into your situation so how would you explain the healing not manifesting...
He doesn't owe you or anyone an explanation...You shouldn't assume what others do in their situation because you don't know what's going on.

Sometimes the manifestation of one's healing takes time. Many Christians give up if their healing isn't manifested 5 minutes after they've prayed or confessed the Word over their body for 2 days.

Speaking on my own situation, I've used my faith in the past for healing for non-life threatening illnesses as well as some a little more serious. However, there were times I had to have medical treatment because I didn't want to be uncomfortable any longer. Even brother Hagin went to the doctor a couple times during his ministry.

One thing for sure, if my healing didn't manifest when I want it to, I'd still believe God's word concerning healing.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Cardinal, it's true that when we say Jesus purchased ALL healing yet we are sick there is a problem...I don't think the WOF fundamental teaching is the problem per se...but our actual understanding of Bible faith....I can teach WOF doctrine from scriptures front and back...debate the best of them...but if I have no fruit then it's just theology...indoctrination...Before that can change I have to admit it and pursue the face of God...faith does not come by scriptures, it comes by HEARING God speak....that's the place of intimacy and relationship that produces fruit...

    Good points Quest

That is why I included Wheeze in the discussion as he is not WOF and how do other Pentecostals see this issue when they believe and experience healings

    Question

faith does not come by scriptures, it comes by HEARING God speak....

Faith comes by hearing consistently the Word of God being preached...When I heard the Gospel preached, faith arose in my heart to confess Christ. I didn’t hear God’s voice, I heard His Word spoken by His ministers.

When I received healing, it was because I heard God’s word on healing being preached. The Israelites heard and saw God do mighty miracles on their behalf, yet they still lacked faith.

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
    **Romans‬ *10:17‬ *NKJV

“So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ. **(AMP)‬‬

“So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” (NLT‬‬)
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Is it possible for a Word of Faith oriented believer who "knows it all" to do all the right things and then nothing happens and it demonstrates that he didn't really have the faith that he was trying to activate ?

    Yes.

A couple of years ago I commanded the birch tree in my garden to uproot itself then plant itself in the Oslo fjord 5 miles away and it didn't budge. It hasn't budged since either. I did want it to do exactly that on my command, I did believe that Jesus could perform that miracle and I did have a very similar word from the Bible to stand on :

Luke 17:6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

So there was no reason to question whether it was God's will according to his Word, to move my birch tree in a similar way.

So why didn't it happen ? Was it because I didn't do it the right way ? I think not. It didn't happen simply because I didn't have faith for that miracle. I have faith for a lot of things, including in the past for very substantial physical miracles, but apparently not for that particular miracle.

Aligning myself with the right theology and saying and doing all the right things simply doesn't produce the faith required for every miracle that I would want to see happen. Those things do not automatically produce or activate that faith.

How is that kind of faith produced or activated ? Apparently it takes something more than just believing in, doing and saying all the right things.

    Giants of faith.

Hebrews 11:13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.

Faith is the expectation of a result. There is no need to justify the need for healing, blessing, etc.

I rebuke all the apnea junk in the name of Jesus Christ!

    Cardinal,

First I am a word of faith kind of guy in that I believe in what the word says and act on the word. The original WOF doctrine came out of ORU and Rhema but was corrupted by the televangelists whom I will not name here as i do not want to start a firestorm. Second probably what you don't know is that I put myself in disobedience over the years by not taking care of my temple in my eating habits as well as a lack of exercise. Its hard to be healed when you willfully disobey the instructions of the Holy Spirit and His word. I was promised years ago if I would take care of myself in obedience to the Holy Spirit He would heal me of diabetes and sa. I made up my mind this last year to never walk in disobedience to Jesus again and started eating right and exercising. I will share with you the results so your mind is at ease.

-I weighed around 320 pounds but have lost almost 50 pounds and still losing

-I am off a 3rd of my meds including Janumet and where once I was taking 150 units plus a day in insulin I only take between 25 and 50 units now. The goal is to come completely off of it.

-I exercise (cardio and weights) 3 times a week for a hour and 30 minutes sometimes 45 minutes per day. My bp is WAY down, my pulse rate is in the 50's and 60's resting. (was in the 80's and 90's resting) My stress level is way down as well.

-My blood sugars were usually in the 200 to 300 range and higher are now between 80 to 140 range and my A1C went from around 8 to 6.9 (high normal for diabetics)

-I have feeling coming back to my feet and lower legs. (you know it as neuropathy) Its painful at times but I would not want the consequences if I had continued in disobedience including the cutting off of fingers, toes, legs and so on. I'm sure you get the picture

-I eat a very high protein based diet no fried foods (this really sucks as Bojangles is very upset with me for the loss of income), potatoes, bread, sugar, sweet tea, soda's including diet soda, Strictly water and unsweet tea with splenda.

-My waist size has dramatically decreased and I have trouble keeping my pants up (A real issue when I'm preaching) I use a belt but I'm on the last notch.

-My risk for a MI or stroke has fallen to very low risk and I have been chasing mrs. wheeze around the house without keeping a 02 tank with me all the time.

The Holy Spirit has started the healing process and is honoring His promise to heal me as I continue to walk in obedience. As for the sa that too is getting better as the weight comes off and it is my goal with my doctor to be off of it (the snore machine as I call it) in the next 6 to 8 months.

I trust this answers your questions as I could sense your curiosity.

    Theologically yours,

    Wheeze

p.s. I still believe in doctors

Wheeze ...thanks for your honest answers

When I addressed you and Fuego it wasn't to judge as I take medication for cholesterol and blood pressure
Iron sharpens iron when we can answer scripturally but also be open and truthful. I am here to learn from others as the area of healing and health is vital.

May you continue to be a blessing in all you do and fulfill God's promises

Psalm 92:14 - They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing

I am using NKJV for that scripture as KJV says 'fat and flourishing'
