Iron sharpens iron when we can answer scripturally but also be open and truthful. I am here to learn from others as the area of healing and health is vital.

May you continue to be a blessing in all you do and fulfill God's promises

Psalm 92:14 - They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing

I am using NKJV for that scripture as KJV says 'fat and flourishing'
The KJV translation made sense up until about a hundred years ago. When I was a skinny youth my grandmother who was born in 1913 complained that I should put on weight or else I was sick. She grew up with people getting skinny because of tuberculosis and being "fat", which meant whatever else than skinny, was seen as a sign of health.

Had this discussion before ....I disagree...yes reading and preaching convey the message of truth but ONLY the Spirit brings it to life as a personal and REAL Rhema...until Rhema occurs the hearing is unfruitful...

The scriptures were Rhema when written and must become spiritually heard to produce faith...when they are spiritually heard faith arises...this is the flaw in the concept of WOF...the idea was adopted by some that the scriptures themselves contain the power thus actually attempting to bypass the need for the SPIRIT speaking and leading....

Scripture mixed with HOPE is not faith....not until it is spiritually HEARD...it's the SPIRIT alone that gives scripture LIFE in us and manifests fruit..

No problem bro... forums and facebook leave a lot to be desired when you can't see someone face to face.... The emotional face to face is missed...

If they believe in the Word then they do :

Col 4:14 Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.

In those days physicians were in general far more questionable than they are now. There will always be the good and the bad, of course.

    Fuego
I really admire your honesty in the other thread how you use a sleep apnea machine. One of the criticisms over the years of WOF has been that many were told to never say you have a problem or illness and later on the person is in hospital or had died

I do believe in the confession of the mouth and WOF should be commended in encouraging this truth.

How do you 'balance' this out in regard to your condition of SA. I assume you have spoken the Word into your situation so how would you explain the healing not manifesting

    Wheeze
I have read some of your reports of the many healings occurring as you step out in the streets. More power to you but how would you explain seeing many healings yet still not healed from SA.
Some of my answer will be similar to Wheeze's. First let me say that I don't see any need to 'reconcile' or 'balance' anything that's wrong with me with what the Bible teaches about healing. That's not how I think. We're human and we live in a fallen world and we're subject to infirmity. It's like asking Paul how does he reconcile the fact he left someone sick somewhere.

My answer for the sleep apnea is basically like Wheeze's but let me add a few things. First of all, sleep apnea really isn't a sickness or disease if you know what I mean. I didn't get it until I started gaining weight, so it was induced by how I ate, etc. I've never thought of it in terms of believing God to be healed because it's a direct result of my weight. Lose the weight, lose the apnea. I've lost over 100 lbs over the last several years, but apparently still not enough to get rid of it, although there is the possibility that being overweight could have cause me to have it permanently. Some people that got it due to weight still have apnea after they lose it. So to be honest with you, I've never really believed God for 'healing' from it, since in my mind it's not actually related to healing per se, just getting back to where I was before I had. Now could that be the wrong way to think about it? Could be. But you wanted how I think now.

One of the criticisms over the years of WOF has been that many were told to never say you have a problem or illness and later on the person is in hospital or had died...
Well that's extreme teaching. The Bible talks about 'calling those things that be not as though they were' (which is faith based on the Word), NOT calling those things that are as though they're not (lying). Faith is about believing Truth over facts, not denying the facts. Believing Truth with change the facts that are not in line with the Word.

Another similar example would be glasses. I wear glasses. Could I believe God for healed eyes? I suppose so. But it's easier just to wear glasses I guess. There's no pain involved, etc, so no real impetus to believe God other than maybe a little inconvenience that I'm used to. Again, it's not really a sickness or disease in the traditional since, but I guess it could be classified as an type of infirmity.

Anyway, I hope that helps somewhat, feel free to to ask questions to clarify, etc. Sorry I couldn't be as detailed as Wheeze but you get the point. :)

Nope. WOF believes in them. Because if it hadn't been for them most of the WOF people would have died.
