Something from Krystian's thread re: Alice Cooper
Link: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...lifestyle.html
From the article:
Cooper acknowledges that a lot of people don't understand how he can be a rock musician but still be a Christian.
"There’s nothing in Christianity that says I can’t be a rock star,” he explained. "People have a very warped view of Christianity. They think it’s all very precise and we never do wrong and we’re praying all day and we’re right wing. It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with a one-on-one relationship with Jesus Christ."
It really grinds my gears nowadays that the term 'evangelical' is used to refer to Right-wing, alt-Right wing, etc. people, like we're monolithic. I don't care for the term now and I will not refer to myself as one. People have been so brainwashed into believing that Republican=Christian and vice versa.

I hear ya, Sis.
I used to refer to myself (politically) as a "Republican-leaning Christian" - But now, if I'm asked, I'll say I'm a "Conservative Independent"

I understand! It is like how anyone who is Christian is like Steven Anderson the extreme IFB.

I read some on this last year....from recall this is a narrative introduced ...there seems to be a mixture is concepts in that bag....white supremacy is fascism....but the socialist policies and undermining of the Constitution are as well...it really is ignorance, laziness in researching and educating ones self...swallowing the narrative....and frankly we (as in Conservatives) have not helped by embracing the 'right/left' narrative. It is only in recent years that liberals have advanced the narrative to imply ALL conservatives are fascists....and with young people it is working.....between the propoganda taught in public schools, what they see and hear on TV and the internet they were 'prepared' for this...

On a side note the Bible does forbid us to imitate the world, to joke, or in his case, glorify sin.....make light of it....the parable of the soil is very important to recall as the seed sometimes falls into shallow ground....springs up, the sun scorches it...and some falls among thorns...and the thorns overtake it....praying he finds his way out of the thorns and parching sun trying to scorch and overtake him,...
