Prove it. Sow $10 then reap a hundredfold, sow it all again and so on. Do that only four times and you should be able to demonstrate that you are now worth $1 Billion.

The context of the passage is the cost of taking up the faith, not the ministry of giving.
In a world that teaches the road to wealth is the accumulation of money and worldly possessions, the Scriptures reminds us the way to gain is by giving...that it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). Jesus taught that we must not lay up treasures here on earth, but rather we should lay up treasures in heaven (Mt 6:19). He also warned the disciples concerning the dangers of riches and how hard it is for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven (Mk 10:23-25). But at the same time, let's not forget that whatever we give up, or sacrifice for Christ or for the Gospel, God takes note of it, and you can expect Him to multiply it back in this life and in the life to come; we will receive the ultimate reward, eternal life.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

Dear BAP, two questions...(1) Who are you referring to with problems in their personal lives, and (2) Are you calling Paula White a heretic? (Mind you, I don't mind one bit but just wanted to be clear)
Thanks in advance for your reply

The context of this passage is the ministry of giving :
2 Cor 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Point was that we all have challenges in our personal lives . My sister right now is undergoing chemotherapy. My son is doing well but still has a to see his cardiologist every three months or so .My Mum is getting up in agae with all the issues that come with that. I have a friend who is facing a felony etc etc
Points is There is just so much spiritual warfare to engage in that one simply doesn't have the time to be fighting other people over one doctrine or the other. And pretty much all the Christians I know are in the same boat in terms of challenges . The purpose of the bible is not for strife and debate but for overcoming
Per the heretic part , I was generalizing beyond Paula White .. heretic there simply was a catch all for people we disagree with that we may deem heretics ...
As far as Paula White goes I dont think she is perfect. I believe she is human with flaws but I do believe even in her imperfection she has a passion for Christ and that's enough for me .
I also get a sense that in a sense she is like an Esther that God used to endear Donald Trump to the evangelical community .

Good point. I estimate that a high percentage of doctrinal attacks on other Christian beliefs/people are more about misunderstanding them and false accusation. More heat than light.
The body of Christ should be doing more praying and encouraging than arguing.
