There is truth that we can become so doctrine focused we miss the love of God....but the church in many parts has now crossed the line and by lowering doctrine we can start to see the rotten fruit appear.

When you don't have biblical doctrine then you will believe anything about God and many christians have made God into the image they want.

If we forsake solid biblical doctrine we will believe any lie the devil promotes

BROAD is the way that leads to destruction Jesus said
    Well said!

Seeing mature believers accept vile same sex marriage and even worse promote it is unfathomable and shows that even Christians can poison their conscience

I watched Pastor A.R. Bernard's interview with Oprah Winfrey a few days ago on her Super Soul Sunday program. He shared his testimony which was powerful and it seemed he was saying all the right things. I'd never heard him speak before, so I was interested in his story and what he believes.

When they begin to discuss the condition of the world and society, I noticed how never once did he attribute the root cause of evil. And that is what I've observed in a lot of today's preachers when they are being interviewed by well known TV hosts or radio personalities.

It's like they've decided not to talk about Satan and his agenda for mankind. Like they don't want to be embarrassed by acknowledging that there is a devil who is out to steal, kill, and destroy man. I guess they believe the world's problems can be solved by not letting people who the real enemy is.

Uh, a believer that accepts & promotes same sex marriage is hardly "mature." I question whether they're really a Christian.

What I meant to say was in the past they lived as mature believers with good fruit and now they are changing their values to accept evil.

We are seeing ministers who also had good fruit going into error.

I know it's hard to believe but there are Spirit filled Pentecostals saying gay marriage is ok because it's love.

Just last night my wife was getting frustrated reading how a christian lady we know and we are FB friends is supporting same sex marriage.

If you met her in the past she definitely loved Jesus and would never support the things she now supports

I guess it's possible. I just can't wrap my mind around the idea that a Spirit-filled believer could condone sin. I mean, my spirit is immediately grieved when I see or hear something that I know grieves the Spirit of God. How can a Spirit filled believer's heart become so dull? They may be filled with the Spirit, but evidently they're not getting their daily refilling.

My wife felt the same way as she was looking at this persons FB posts. She couldn't believe how a 'Christian' could become so deceived to accept these lies.

There has for a long time been many Bible oriented Christians that accept the "consentual sex between adults not committed elsewhere" thing. Not so sure that that is so much better. Debates on that were similar to this debate back in the nineties. Deja Vu, pretty much.
