The last 12 months I have only been taking my phone with bible app but sometimes you get a great thought and by having your bible or pen ready you can write it ASAP

I know you can type it in your phone but it seems easier for me to write it down

I've seen people take out a pen in church then start writing on their phone. And they will turn it into a video camera in a split second if something catches their attention.

Everyone should do what is best and works for them.

Over the years many preachers have turned to using iPad or laptop to preach messages and it works for them.

The first time I saw a minister use a laptop was 1997 and it turned me off because he wasn't efficient with it and it distracted from his message. If they lose a page sometimes they start swiping trying to find their point.

Most ministers are more efficient today but I still use paper notes as I can speak and look at my points a lot quicker than using a iPad but that's just me

Watching Todd White is fun, he will quote several verses from memory and sometimes go looking for some passage on his ipad then start reading from it. Having a search function must be a great asset. Not only when studying or discussing as I found out 20 years ago but also when standing on a pulpit.

Some ministers don't give you time to turn to the passage. They'll just give the scripture and start reading right away. I hate that! That's why I use my iPhone or iPad. Only use my hand held Bible when I'm sure the minister will give us time to turn to the passage.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

Gotta have a physical Bible in my hand at Church.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

I tried preaching using my iPad a couple of times. It takes me longer to get to the Scriptures I need to present than if I just used my regular Bible. Since I primarily teach and attempt to use several passages to support my points, that becomes cumbersome.

The only time I used my iPhone as a Bible is when I am going to a church service from another location other than home and do not have time to go get my Bible.
