Shoplifter Roughed up by Store Employee
Some would say the employee went too far. I say it depends on the shoplifting laws of that particular state. Do store employees have the right to physically detain shoplifters?
Unless there are security guards with the authority to physically detain & restrain them, I don't agree with civilian employees restraining shoplifters. The clip doesn't indicate if the employee is a store detective or store clerk.
What say you?

Wow. He certainly had a death grip on her purse.
Something was said about him apprehending her in the parking lot? I guess it's not technically shop lifting until they leave the store.
Usually, stores have a policy about letting the thief go and the employee not being a hero... or a dead hero.

I saw a store employee or owner trying to detain a shoplifter until the police arrived - She resisted, and attempted to assault him, and he attempted to restrain her and defend himself.

Yes, he did right by taking her down when she began assaulting him.

That's what got me thinking that maybe he was the store detective.
Hmmm? I tried the link again, and it still worked. I don't know what could've happened.
