Thread: An Angry Mob?

    An Angry Mob?

Can a Christian ever be part of an angry mob? I know a few Christians who participated in the recent anti-Trump march. Some of the protestors, though non-violent, were still very angry and displaying signs that shouted their anger. Can a Christian ever really be part of that? Even for noble causes like for pro-life rallies? Going to a rally is one thing, but shouting angry slogans and carrying hateful signs...can a Christian ever do that?

Soulish behavior diminishes as one becomes more Spirit led....mob type situations are soulish/carnal...can a Christian act carnally? Yes..should they? No

The liberal left are deluded and sadly are deceiving christians. Maybe deep down those believers want to be deceived

I'm thinking about "being angry, but without sin." There is a way to show passion for an issue, where, say, we are speaking against evil. But we need to be mindful of how behavior "plays out" in public view. That's why the model of group silent protest is an effective one (with a designated speaker to articulate the position circumspectly) -- it would be hard to find fault in that. Group silence can we the most effective way to make opinions felt than just screaming slogans at people.

I suppose wisdom would be in order. Be aware of who you are participating with and what their true agendas really are, is it a cause promoting Godly values or sinful lifestyles and if this is a time to walk gentle or to flip tables.
