Probably about 1%.
A true union removes (internally) the sense of being naked like Adam and Eve discovered they were. A lot of people don't care if they are just naked and basically alienated from each other, as long as they get some sexual pleasure out of it. This is not merely a matter of "what God thinks of it", this is a matter of actuality.

I thought this was a family board?

I vote for abstinence, like Jesus walked in.

Since we are joint heirs with Christ we can have access to that level of self control.

Those that get married will have trouble in the flesh... I know there are other benefits, but to me it's not worth it when I can fellowship with the Lord and be more fulfilled than all that fleshly stuff. Besides, nobody is as trustworthy as Jesus.

I know, I know... that's just me and I should sit down and shut up.

Yeah, and a trip by the mirror quickly dispels that

Actually, I think Paul says that you'll have MORE trouble with your flesh if you don't marry...But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. 1 Cor. 7:9

    1 Corinthians 7:28
But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

    1 Corinthians 7:9
But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

It's all a mute point because after we leave Club Earth there won't be any more marriage:

    Mark 12:25
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

So, when you hear of an elderly couple where one passes away... and a while later the other passes away and at the funeral they get up and say "well, this couple is reunited in Heaven and will be together for eternity", it's not true according to what Jesus said.

Because... we are going to be married to the Lord which should make Christians rejoice but sadly many reject what Jesus said and still think they will be with their spouse in marriage for ever.

Like lot of other stuff that gets taught in churches these days... it turns out to be incorrect and does not agree with scripture, but whatever... everybody is going to believe whatever it is they want to believe regardless of if it's scriptural or not.

God's Word tells us about that too.

That's ALL you ever post. Try posting something relational for once. Tell us about yourself. Give us your testimony. What are your prayer needs? Who have been the major influences in your spiritual life. Try posting 3 posts in a row without criticizing someone.

    2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

We live in the last of the last days before the poo hits the fan... and more and more Christians are deceived living in la la land... so, somebody need to point out false teaching that is continually coming up. I would say I'm sorry, but all I'm doing is pointing out what should be obvious.

I'll do my best to speak in general terms and not directly to anyone here and focus on teaching instead of individuals.

Yeah, I learned long ago not to post personal information on the net where the entire world can see it. That can easily come back on someone and cause issues. Talkboards are not like talking to someone privately in your living room or at a restaurant over lunch. Sorry.

Well, it's your loss. I've been on the forum for over ten years and have not had any problems with a loss of privacy. I have had, however, some wonderful people pray for me and listen to me vent when needed. You speak of the last days. Believers will need each other more than ever when "the poo hits the fan." One way to be ready is to be united with other Christians in the ways that God has provided. That means in-person fellowship and it can also mean online fellowship. Some of us have had the privilege of meeting each other in person after becoming acquainted here. You would do well to cultivate relationships with others....unless you are a spiritual lone ranger. I hope not.

The faithful that are counted worthy to escape the things coming upon the earth (Luke 21:36), and have kept His Word (Revelation 3:10) won't be here when the when "the poo hits the fan."

Many who say they Christians will not be taken in the catching away of the church... they will go thru the great tribulation and you're right... ya'll gonna need each other mo than ever during that time as most will be killed for their faith, or if they are OSAS they'll go ahead and take the mark of the beast so they can buy and sell thinking they'll still go to Heaven... they are mistaken.

Personal relationships are better in person... there's a reason why some like to have relationships online verses in person.
