IOW, "those who think that any Catholics are saved are probably not saved themselves."

Deja vu from some rather odd places that called themselves Christian forums.

On this forum - pure entertainment.

They can be saved the same way a crack head or a drunkard can be saved... turn away from your sin, confess it, forsake it while turning unto the Lord.

I know people that have come out of the catholic church... they turned away from the false teachings that oppose God's Word.

Some here seem to say it's OK to continue with the association and agreement with false teaching and they can still be saved... no, we must turn away from darkness and turn unto a personal relationship with the Father thru Jesus.

Confessing sin to a catholic priest leaves one still in sin with out being washed clean by the Blood of Jesus simply because... the person did not go directly to the Lord and they are still practicing idolatry

"and some day that will be made evident"

Precisely Farm Truck, God will make things evident when He's ready.

Decades ago I knew a bloke who had some contact with Charismatic Catholics and he found it strange that they still said the rosary (which we all agree is wrong btw).

Each of us is completely different and while God will bring some people out of what they were doing religiously immediately with others there are other things He wants to deal with in their lives first. Another example is smoking, some give it up immediately on becoming Christians, with others it's a while before they stop. But it's a log and splinter thing, what YOU think is a big deal isn't necessarily a high priority for God because He knows more than you do Farm Truck.

As far as I can see no one here is defending the false teachings of the RCC. But then neither do we think that it's OK for people to be rude, abusive, bad mannered, ridiculing, demeaning, self centered, arrogant, and just plain ignorant of a lot of the things they think they know everything about. But God knows what areas of such a person's life need working on first and we have to leave it to Him.

He's already done so... in His Book, which contains His instructions on being right with Him. He will judge mankind based on what He has already said in His Word.

Some will have to learn the hard way and will end up in hell... others simply read God's Word, take Him at His Word and avoid false religious practices that God says are an abomination unto Him such as idolatry.

We can run an eternal spiritual experiment ... we'll see where those folks end up that practice extra biblical teaching.

    Matthew 6:22,23
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

As far as I can see no one here is defending the false teachings of the RCC
But making excuses for them is in vogue these days

Doesn't mean people will learn everything instantly.

People make excuses of lots of things the Bible speaks against, e.g. their behaviour.
