Taking Kids to Church Violates Their Human Rights, Says UN
-Asking children to attend Christian assemblies undermines their human rights, according to a United Nations committee.
A highly controversial new report by the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child expresses "concern" that pupils in the U.K. are legally required to take part in a daily act of collective worship, which is "wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character."
Conservative MP David Burrowes described the criticism as "ludicrous" and said the government can "respectfully put those kinds of reports in the bin where they belong."
The committee recommended that the government "repeal legal provisions for compulsory attendance at collective worship." Its recommendations are not legally binding.
Parents can already withdraw their children from collective worship, but the committee wants children to be able to act independently of their parents.
Speaking to The Telegraph, David Burrowes said: "The collective act of worship is not an indoctrination exercise. It is recognizing and respecting the Christian heritage of the country and giving people an opportunity to reflect..."

No surprise here. What's amazing to me is the number of people (Christians and non-Christians) who can't connect the dots to see what's happening. All the controversial issues we post about are all of a piece. They're inter-related as part of the unfolding end times scenario. The rise of Islam, homosexual mainstreaming, transgenders, anti-Christian intolerance, drug legalization, sexual immorality, celebration of abortion, restrictions on gun ownership, and more. All these and more are flowing from the same evil stream. Why don't more people see this?

2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Sadly, this even applies to so-called "Christians" who have accepted the ways of the world and believe that it is okay to mix worldliness with Christianity.

Islam did at one point in history threaten to wipe out all of Christian civilization. What we see now is nothing compared to that.

It's not Islam alone, it's the culmination of it all at once...

The common denominator among the others seems to be the acceptance of personal immorality. Except for gun ownership rights which is perhaps seen as the work of an increasingly oppressive regime ? That is very little compared to what Christians are suffering and have been suffering elsewhere. As for personal immorality, things have been far worse in places and at times. Even the condoning of drugs has been. In China 110 years ago there were as many opium addicts (same category as heroin) per population as there are cigarette smokers in the US today. History, including from the Bible, gives perspective on these things. There may be a pattern to what is going on right now and a tendency towards a far darker future but lets not become cry babies, always comparing our present situation to the best parts of yesteryear, that is a few decades ago in the same place.

OK, so by this can we assume taking kids to a mosque violates their human rights as well???
What did the mental midgets at the UN say about that, anything?
