On the other hand, if we define God's wrath in the way that it is revealed in Scripture in which God removes His hand of protection and allow sinners to have their way then I positively absolutely agree (see 2 Chron. 12:5-7; Psalm 78:49-50; Romans 1:18, 24-28 just to name a few). When we persist in doing what we want and shaking our fist in God's face and telling Him that we want nothing to do with Him then He will give us exactly what we want. He will leave us alone. Sadly, leaving us alone leaves us open to evil forces that are already waiting to destroy us, just waiting for the hedge of protection to be removed.
The homosexual community has told God that they don't want Him. Most of America has with our diversity of sin. God is heartbroken but what choice does He have but to let us have what we want along with its consequences. This is how Scriptre defines God's wrath.
Maybe "a lack of God's favor, blessing and protection" would be more descriptive than "God's wrath" which suggests something specific and active.

go read first chapter of Romans, then read Roams 6, and Galatians 6... and learn that God's judgement is still applicable thru sowing and reaping.
God is not mocked... what we sow is what we reap.

If I run as fast as I can straight into a brick wall I will hurt myself. I will reap what I sow. If I live in sin, the devil will have a foothold and I will reap what I sow. That doesnt necessarily mean that God involved himself in any of it. To the contrary, the Word says :
1 Tim 4:10 For to this*end*we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is*the*Savior*of*all*men, especially of those who believe.
This verse doesnt pronounce universalism, it refers to the fact that God saves even unbelievers from a lot of trouble, in this life. Without his angels being stationed here the world would be a much darker place. Most of us would have been in simple slavery to some totalitarian regime or despot, for instance. More people would have been more demonized and under all kinds of sin, for instance drug addiction and idolatry. We need to avoid this tendency to marry God to the works of the devil, Jesus came to undo the works of the devil, not to aid him in them. God may step back and withdraw protection and sometimes actively judge but this is the exception. He currently chooses to see the world through the lens of the gospel, to reach out to us through his Son, all out judgment will follow later, when people will walk like blind men because they have sinned against the Lord, as Zeph 1 declares.

God gets the rap for a lot of things that He didn't do. Many in the church blame Him just like those who don't know Him.
God=good stuff
Devil=bad stuff
