The Extraordinary Moral Hypocrisy of President Obama - Dr Michael Brown

When I saw the headline, my first thought was, "Could it be? Is President Barack Obama really denouncing Planned Parenthood's trafficking in baby parts?"

The words seemed clear enough: "Obama: Killing Humans And Harvesting Their Organs Is An Atrocity That Must End."

But the reality was worse than a sick joke.

President Obama was not speaking about killing babies in the womb and then selling their liver and limbs and tissue.

As reported by Mollie Hemingway on the Federalist.com, "President Barack Obama told a group of young African leaders on Monday that harvesting organs from humans [specifically, albinos] that are killed as part of an African ritual was 'craziness' and a 'cruel' tradition that needed to stop. He warned of dehumanizing marginal groups of humans and of the problems that arise when 'you are not able to see someone else as a human being.'"

In light of the release of the Planned Parenthood videos which, press secretary Josh Earnest tells us, the president refuses to watch, the irony of Obama's words is more than ironic. It is downright hypocritical and evil.

I'm reminded of the video footage from World War II when Allied soldiers who liberated the concentration camps forced the German neighbors to walk through the camps, making them face up to the monumental atrocities that they willingly chose to ignore.

Many of them were sickened at the sights of emaciated corpses piled high – the stench must have been unimaginable – just as many are sickened today by the pictures of tiny baby parts being bartered for money, and in the name of scientific research at that.

A new report on Breitbart.com even claims that, "Medical researchers are growing human organs in mice by implanting dead human baby organs into rodents," and so the sickening saga continues to unfold.

Would that someone could force our president to make a personal tour of a large abortion facility and look at the jars filled with the "products of conception," as the little eyes stare at him through the glass and the little fingers point at him.

After all, as Hemingway points out, "In 2012, Planned Parenthood said, while announcing a $1.4 million ad buy on his behalf, that they had 'no greater champion' than President Obama."

Indeed, "During his time in the Illinois Senate, Obama's devotion to abortion was so extreme that he argued a form of infanticide should remain legal out of fear that protecting infants born alive might somehow protect young humans in the womb."

In his remarks on Monday, the president said, "If there's one thing I want YALI [Young African Leaders Initiative] leaders to come out with, it's the notion of you are strong by taking care of the people who are vulnerable, by looking after the minority, looking after the disabled, looking after the vulnerable."

Yet rather than connect the dots – they were shouting to be connected – and applying this same logic to the most vulnerable of all, namely, babies in the safety of their mothers' wombs, he instead chided them for mistreating gays and lesbians.

"Obama," Hemingway informs us, "also tied the practice of harvesting organs from albinos with racism and discrimination against gay people and urged consistency in how they view the sanctity of human life if they want to complain about human rights abuses."

While I do not concur with all African legislation concerning homosexuality, the president's comments went beyond moral blindness. He was guilty of nothing less than extreme moral hypocrisy, tantamount to a slave owner telling his abolitionist neighbor that he was a bad Christian witness because he didn't properly maintain his lawn.

May light continue to expose the darkness of Planned Parenthood, and may that same light expose the moral hypocrisy of our president, even within his own heart.

I sincerely hope and pray that he will have a radical change of mind and become a champion for life and, as impossible as that may seem, if Jesse Jackson could go from passionate defender of the unborn to passionate champion of abortion, the reverse can happen to.

Until then, we will continue to raise our voice.

For Obama everything can be related to gay rights...and the sanctity of human life never applies to aborting babies.

Some people reason that homosexuality should not be morally condemned, that sin doesn't exist or that it isn't a sin and then reason that homosexuals should be allowed to marry and be treated the same way as other married couples, in the formal sense. That sets up a framework for society and then each individual and organization is allowed to think what they will and act accordingly, applying "freedom of association" as they see fit. In terms of declaring it morally right, morally suspect or morally wrong and in terms of churches treating gays the same way they treat non-gays in relation to sexual issues (besides the gender alignment) or not.

Barack Obama is taking this one step further to where he employs the notion that gays are born gay to make it a civil rights issue, defining per default that there is no difference at all between a practicing homosexual and practicing heterosexual, erasing it completely as a moral issue. Just like society has defined (and rightly so) per default that there is no difference at all between a person born with dark skin and a person born with pale skin, meaning they should both have the same civil rights. Based on that notion, it can then be termed racism to object on moral grounds against practicing homosexuality and a totalitarian society is in the making. I do believe that Barack Obama has totalitarian tendencies. Not in the absolute sense like Hitler, Stalin or Mao but in the sense that he is ready to apply totalitarianism when he sees fit, which is where he has no respect for any other answer to an issue than the one he and his peers have come up with. As such he represents a modern current where a strong consensus may lead to a form of partial totalitarianism, which in turn is sufficiently unstable as an equilibrium that is may collapse into complete totalitarianism though that was not the intention of those who originally turned things that way.
