Money. Sex. Beer. God. - John Crowder's new book.

I find John likes to title things in a way that sound sensational, but once you listen there's really not much to it. He seems to be addressing a 'puritan' mindset which I don't think a lot of Christians hold to any longer. But I assume it sells more books that way. Really nothing controversial on the video once he explains other than the drinking part for some people.

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't think saying God is "pro-party" is quite the message the American church needs to hear right now.

Ugh, the more I listen to this, the less I like it. Should be a very popular message with the church today, though. Sad. Of course, now I'm open to the charge of being a "gnostic." Horse feathers!

I get what ya'll men but God did command the Israelites to party and have a good time.

Now, of course, God's way of partying was not drinking alcohol, sexual debauchery, and other satanic stuff. I believe that God is the original partier and Satan has perverted the things of God to the extent that we may stay away from the genuine because of the counterfeit. Of course, on the flip-side of that, "Christians" have used their liberty as a license and partied in ways that God has never authorized and actually places them under satanic bondage.

The key in all things is that little word called BALANCE.

If you think we are at a party, you need to read your Bible again. Maybe you like to go to parties where you wear armor.

Yeah, I love to go to parties, especially birthday parties. But I think in context of what Crowder is talking about really isn't what the Church needs to hear. Crowder seems to be under the impression that Charismatic Christians (this is his camp) are uptight, legalistic, and need to sit back and drink some beer and stop being so darn uptight.

I have no clue where he gets these ideas from. I just don't understand why these "voices" come forth and they just respond with imbalances that really don't even exist anyway.

And really.....if a Christian does NOT want to drink, who cares? What business is it of Crowder's, or anyone else? I just tire of these voices trying to "correct" things that don't exist to a great degree anyway.

And I love a good party!

I have read my Bible and I obviously know it way better than you ever will. REad John 2 sometimes concerning the marriage in Cana that Jesus attended.

“Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel! You will again be adorned with your tambourines and timbrels And go out to the dances of those who celebrate. (Jer. 31:4; Amplified Bible)

The Israelites celebrated were called FEASTS
