I'm still a registered voter in my home state...Thank goodness there's a write-in place on the Michigan ballot!

Do they count by hand or how does it work? I could be wrong, but I think the machines used in central OK count the votes when the ballot is inserted into the machine.

the thing with write ins is they're essentially worthless.

If there's any chance of us being heard we must pick the one who most closely fits our ideal. (yeah.. this time around that's a joke, isn't it?)

To do a write in (except for the primaries) merely gives a vote for the other party.

Here's what you do if you don't want to vote for the republican nominee. Find a friend who is going to vote for Hillary, then go to the polls and vote Trump or Cruz. That way, you haven't voted FOR evil, you've neutralized your friend's evil vote.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

Instead of looking at it as voting for the lesser of two evils

Maybe it is more a matter of voting for who will do the most for righteousness / to stop evil.

I haven't gotten any leading and am not yet sure what the Lord will have me to do.

    Just throwing it out there.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

It's not to the One who judges my heart. Frankly, that's all I care about. Even if the more evil party wins, I'll sleep well knowing my Redeemer lives and will take care of me and mine, "according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

oh sure.. I know God's hand is in it all. I'm good because I know, ultimately, His will is being worked out, no matter who wins what.
