If some ISIS leader throws lots frequently and there are two options, terror attack and no terror attack. Does that mean that God is endorsing terror whenever that lot comes up ?

Casting lots to inquire of God was something the ancient Israelites did by faith, it was a serious and ceremonial matter. It was probably done in a tangible presence of God.

If you want to see ISIS as a tool in God's hands and their leader throwing dice to figure out what to do as God leading him then that is your prerogative. But it would be nothing more than Theistic Fatalism. Which is what some Calvinists subscribe to with their ultimate fate being revealed to them as heaven, besides that anything goes.

I don't know how it all works but we do see God using pagan nations to discipline Israel.

BTW....where you being lead by the Holy Spirit to buy lottery tickets since that is what you say we should all do
I actually posted scripture and you say it's an anti berean approach? How about YOU post scripture saying it's a sin?

You seem to have only read 1/2 my post since you only responded to 1/2 of it...

26 Then they drew lots (other translations have 'cast lots') to choose between the two men, and the one chosen was Matthias . . . (Acts 1:26)

Pretty sure you know I was not IMPLYING God led them to cast lots for His robe...merely pointing out we have two very contrasting examples...

The apostles did that according to Jewish custom and before God but I dont understand why you included something about Roman soldiers casting lots, that is no different to what people do today, throw dice and let chance decide.

Because both are in the Bible...so you assume the disciples did this as a custom? They were not reprimanded for it..do you see scripture that states they were mistaken?

Again...produce scripture saying it's a sin? As you noted on another thread..at least I did post scripture pertaining to it...beats all those saying its sin because they say so. :)

Quest, the Romans soldiers werent inquiring of the God of the Jews which one he wanted to have Jesus' robes. The apostles were inquiring of God. Acts 1:24-25
