    Copeland Demonic? Hagin Wacko?

    Copeland Demonic? Hagin Wacko?

Simply put, the Word of Faith movement exalts man to god-status and reduces God to man-status.

Is the Word of Faith movement biblical? | GotQuestions.org

I emailed Athey Creek, the conversations I posted in my thread on "Hanging Out".

    Any thoughts?

I think his final response was best ...

Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.
Which as a precept in the broader sense could be; kick it around once once or twice, if it leads to strife, just drop it.

My experience on this forum is that if that topic is broached, feelings can get heated on both sides, best to leave it alone.

I think that scripture should be adhered to more strictly in the face of gross false teaching, if someone is claiming Mary died on the cross for you, by all means, correct once, twice, you're oughta here!

John, Well, I guess. I know I didn't get emotional about it. Just seem the link to WOF. I mean I get these folks. I don't know if I got all of WOF things down. But I confess scriptures for healing, thoughts and even for protection, demonic attacks. Like I pray on the Armor of God. I pray Scripture when I met with the Father every morning.

Like the last email which did not go cause I figure is blocked now. I could only present parts I know where I've walked and probably forgot more, well I know I did. But just some simple stuff, I mean.

If God's Word doesn't come back void. Then how does it get out there, you just think it? Just knowing it? There has to be an action, just as the word "seek" as is used in Matthew 6:33. It's an action. Jesus used the Word in the 3 temptations.

Wonder how that Charismatic Church does them things, those Pastors? My Pastor teaches stuff that way just doesn't call it WOF.

But this Kat didn't want to even go there. All I know is I've had Victory, to God be the glory, the enemy didn't give it to me. Cause darts fly everyday one way or another.

Do you think I got it right as far as my stance? I was not being combative and he just assumed I didn't check out his links. I've seen them before and on U-tube same stances.

From what I've seen any preacher or teaching that has significant following usually attracts some vocal opposition from WITHIN the church. Billy Graham caught flak, Copeland catches flak, Hank Hanneraf catches flak. I think it best to just avoid that kind of strife, after all, the likelihood of anyone being edified (the purpose of ministry) is nil, the fruit is always rotten.

Did you go to far? I don't know, I guess if that guy has a problem with Copeland, he can address him personally and vice versa but I'm not so sure we should take up swords for personalities, Paul admonished some folks for doing that, called them carnal. I'm not saying you are carnal, I'm just saying those kind of spats are better off left in the ditch. We are a many membered body, we sometimes in our own mind don't understand others who may be the foot when we are the ear, maybe just leave it at that. Love always wins.

    edit to add:

I'm sure the preacher down the road catches flak from others who are another mile down the road, this isn't limited to "big names". It would be nice if we could just put all that down and focus on Jesus.

Yeah, I get what mean John. My biggest teaching and even learning what I use in WOF, I got here an FFF, (here). Didn't know it was even called WOF.

I just see it as a practice or a way of using the Word, Gifts of the Spirit towards Victories spiritually, outlined in the Bible. Think it's a fair question to ask in how do they get victories against the enemy. Think I asked some fair questions. Not trying to cause strife.

Don't get some of Fuego's comments sometimes, Lol. Vw a Vw? Is that me? I know I don't speak Fuego I guess, he always seems to freak my weirdness. Lol

Haven't posted in awhile, check in every now and then. Been busy in my hometown Church. Thought this was worthy of a discussion.
Guess it falls under haters gonna hate. So let it go. Which I usually do.

But ways I walk the walk if it's deception or the ways of the devil trickery, then question?. Carnal wow,,,,

Boy the enemy will be on me now that my mind digested that. The Word of Faith movement exalts man to god-status and reduces God to man-status.

I don't believe that line. I believe I am drawing closer to God and giving Him thanks and the glory for everything. I hear His voice. I have a prayer language and don't feel led to change a thing but seeking Him even more. Love, yeah there it is, where the Blood is, is the glory.

Thx for the reply John, in Him Geneo

See, that's the thing, a many membered body. You were able to draw off the Word, no care about who spoke it, truth has a way of sticking, men can falter. I think that is what Paul was talking about, keep your eyes (and ears) on Jesus, not the preacher man. God can correct the doctrinal issues, it's not really our business to jump in and take sides.

VW and VW are members here, VictoryWord and ValiantWoman so fuego wasn't referring to you.

I think you were fine with all that in your emails, just asking about some thing, you weren't angling for a fight, my guess is that preacher you were emailing has been drawn into some strife on that topic in the past so takes the "topic ended" stance when it comes up.

edit: Just wanted to add that pastors and preachers are gifts given to men, vessels through which He can raise us up in maturity, no knock on them, big ministry or small they are placed here, to be respected as Gods messengers who care for our souls.

Didn't listen to it in its entirety, but anticipated it, so I only have this to say...

When folk attack WOF, I've learned to stop reading or listening. There's fault in every so-called denomination. I stick with scripture, and if anyone gets off while preaching or teaching, I just eat the meat & spit out the sticks. Works for me.
