    NEW friends would typically be friends of both the husband and wife...calls to the wife to discuss 'problems' or personal issues would be red flags!

    I have a lot of 90 year old single friends. What's wrong with that? In fact most of my friends are OOOOLLLLLDDDD! I wonder why?

    Seriously, I do not have any friends that are not friends of both Bonnie and me. That is the only way for us. In fact it is just understood. We are married and we are one as the Scriptures say.

    I had lunch with a female friend once in a mall food court. One friend who knew me but didn't know her walked by and gave me a very curious look. I laughed it off, but I haven't forgotten it. I hadn't even considered how it would look. She was a fellow writer friend and we were mostly talking about that common interest.
